katiesimon: Dear world, Please take note, tonight is Georgie Aldaco’s first show with her new Maude team, Fambly, and I’m so proud I could burst. I honestly feel like I’m her mom on the first day of school, or her mom on the first day of her new Maude team, if moms really understood this sort of thing. This post is probably what moms would do if they understood the Internet better, so it’s what I’m going to do. Because I can’t contain this pride! Georgie and I met over 3 years ago, and we’ve been improvising together ever since. She is one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. You don’t understand, she is a funny machine. The best thing that I can do being on her team is not to try and keep up (impossible), but just hang on for the ride. Sometimes I think “I want to be funny too” and I’ll try to get the laughs that Georgie does and it never goes well, because it can’t be done. In addition to being one of the most naturally funny people in the world, Georgie works hard. She is definitely the engine that keeps Former Business Partners running- she organizes everything we do, and always keeps on top of it all. As far as I can remember, she’s never missed a single practice. In 2 years! She never shows up to writer’s meetings with incomplete or totally not started sketches. And she does that knowing that Viviana and I will probably do one or both of those things, so it’s even more impressive. I’m pretty darn excited to see myself on the Maude page, but it’s nothing compared to how excited I get when I scroll past Fambly and see GEORGIE’S FACE!!! Just do yourself a favor, and get to know one of the weirdest, funniest and best people in this community. Sincerely,Katie  P.S. Listen I want you all to know her and adore her, but she’s mine, and she can’t ever leave me. P.P.S. I’m super bummed I have to miss this show (stupid Maude. Oh, have I mentioned that yet?), so someone please go and take lots of pictures.
